Defining Moments

I did a studio engagement session today with Jenny and Vince. Normally I like to go outdoors for this type of session, but if you’ve felt the wind today, you’ll know THAT wasn’t going to happen!  These two are both friendly, happy, obviously in love, and we had a great time.  It seems Vince and I share a certain vice in our spare time.  I’ll give you a clue: it involves trolls and gnomes and many think it’s for nerds only.  He doesn’t exactly look like a nerd, now, does he….?:)

Heh.  Don’t get too many seniors this time of year, but that’s OK!  Adam was just on time to get a yearbook image submitted before the due date at his school.  He is a very serious fellow, which made for some really nice dramatic images.  Plus, we got a few smiles in there for mom!

Well, it’s been too long since I’ve posted anything, but I have been pretty busy since the holidays. January has seen lots of kiddos in the studio, and I’ve really started to gain an appreciation of the natural light that’s available through my studio windows, if you’re here at the right time of day. I’ve also been on a black and white binge. I don’t have time right now to post about individual sessions, but here are a few of my favorites from the last couple of weeks. All window light, no studio strobes, all taken between 11 am and 2 pm, roughly. Enjoy!
