Defining Moments

On Sunday, Diane and I went to the Voom video portraits displayed at the UI Museum of Art. Pretty interesting stuff. It’s only around until the end of the month, so if you want to check it out, hurry up! Here are few pics I took while at the exhibit.

This is one of my first subjects ever as a professional photographer, and she has been back a few times.  Today, she brought her chef hat, and we also got a couple of other outfits.

Wonil picked a good day for a session.  I just found this Sylvania Sun Gun in a bin at a thrift store a couple of days ago, and was looking for a way to put my new high-tech five dollar toy to use.  He was happy to help out! This thing is seriously bright, and HOT, too!

Chase is reputed to be quite the piano player. Quite a nice kid, as well, and his somewhat eccentric (among people his age, anyway) taste in music made him the first senior around whom I felt I could play my Squirrel Nut Zippers CD. Awesome. Here’s a sneak preview of his session:

When I started this blog, I really intended to occasionally post photos that I shot just for me, but it hasn’t really been happening. I will try this year to post more random photography, as time allows. These sunsets were shot near West Branch last night, on my way home. Enjoy!
