Kailyn

Here’s a few from my session with Kailyn today. Totally cool family, mom and brother came along and helped, and we got a few of Kailyn and her brother as well. Brother/sister shots have been very popular this year! Great smiles, awesome light, fun fall color, and probably one of the last days we’ll get this year with weather this beautiful. I was shooting in the street a lot, but mom kept a close eye out to make sure I didn’t get run over. Thanks!!

Yesterday’s Senior

Erick, from City High! Just the kind of guy I like to shoot: easy-going, natural smile. We got some great shots, but the weather was crappy, so we postponed the outdoor session. Here’s a few from yesterday:

High School Senior Golfer

October 21st, 2008 by Todd

I had a blast with Alex and his mom at this session yesterday. We stayed at the studio for over an hour, then went to do some outdoor stuff with fall color. We ended up at my house actually, since I live on a golf course, and got a few shots of Alex golfing. BTW, I want you guys to know that I found my Packers shirt and am wearing it today. And I want all my other readers to know that I am not actually a Packers fan! ;)

Not the season, the girl. ;) Autumn is a senior who came in today for a studio session. A great smile and a lot of fun to photograph. She forgot her cheerleading uniform, so I guess she’s gonna have to come back for another session. Here’s a few from today:

Cross-country Runners!

October 14th, 2008 by Todd

I photographed a multi-school cross-country event today. I didn’t know what to expect, having never been to such an event before, but I had a great time. The weather was ideal, and the trees are starting to color up nicely. The U of I’s Ashton Course is a really nice place for a cross-country meet, especially for spectators. It’s pretty easy to find a vantage point to see much of the course. Even so, people move from place to place during the races to get the best view, and I got a bit of exercise following parents and fans around trying to position myself for good photos. The course has a distinct Iowa feel to it, with hay bales scattered across the landsape…it was really quite beautiful. A sampling of shots below, and the full gallery from today HERE. I know I didn’t manage to get pics of every runner, but I tried my best!

Some Random Fall Pics

October 12th, 2008 by Todd

~~~
Diane, Jake and I visited Wilson’s Apple Orchard today, and spent about an hour just walking around. I got what I thought were some pretty neat, fairly abstract shots. Hopefully will have time for some more traditional fall foliage shots in the next couple of weeks. Enjoy!
Fall Family Session
October 10th, 2008 by Todd
~~~

Well, my bloggeries have been less frequent lately, so I am thrilled to be able to post a few shots from this great family session yesterday! The boys were a handful, but it made it a lot easier that the session was at their home.  They were easily distracted, but overall I think they actually enjoyed the session. The backyard was perfectly situated for that setting sun rim light that I love…

Olivia

October 2nd, 2008 by Todd

Wow, I had a really nice combo session with Olivia today. The weather and light were both just ideal for outdoor stuff, which we did at Hickory Hill park. Mom and sis came along, and I got some shots of Olivia with her sister in the studio. A couple from her session will definitely be among my favorites from the ‘09 seniors. I couldn’t resist a bit of fun Photoshop on one of these!
